This Chinese Braised Minced Pork on Rice is my version of the classic dish often served at restaurants. The ground pork is stir fried in onions, and fresh ginger, and cooked in Shaoxing wine, soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, and seasonings. The star anise pods add a faint licorice-like flavor and aroma to the saltiness of the dish. Slices of hard-boiled eggs in the sauce, plus servings of steamed rice complete the meal.
