Using jumbo porridge oats in the topping for this indulgent orchard fruit crumble gives it a chunkier texture – a little like flapjacks crossed with shortbread. A pinch of cardamom cooked with the apples and pears, and a layer of white chocolate adds to the richness. Now all you have to decide is cream or custard (or both).
